Warranty
Warranty Policy
Get Dirty Pet Gear warrants its products against defects in materials and workmanship for one (1) year from the date of purchase. Proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims. If your item was purchased through one of our retailers, a copy of your receipt must be provided. For orders placed through our website, the purchase date is considered to be the date your order was marked as picked up or the date it was delivered by the shipping carrier.
What is Covered
This warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship that occur under normal use.
What is Not Covered
This warranty does not cover damage resulting from:
- Normal wear and tear.
- Misuse or abuse.
- Chewing or scratching.
- Damage caused by accidents (including items caught in doors, fences, crates, etc.).
- Damage or discolouration caused by topical flea and tick treatments or other harsh chemicals.
- Customer modifications or attempted repairs.
Although our products are made from durable materials, no material is indestructible. Items that have been chewed, torn, cut, or otherwise damaged through normal use or accidents are considered wear and tear and are not covered under this warranty.
Submitting a Warranty Claim
All warranty claims must be submitted by email to orders@getdirtydog.ca before returning any product.
In many cases, clear photographs of the issue will be sufficient to evaluate the claim. If additional inspection is required, you may be asked to return the product to us at your expense.
If the warranty claim is approved and return shipping was required for inspection, we will reimburse your reasonable return shipping costs.
Once the warranty claim has been assessed, we will determine whether the product will be repaired or replaced.
Repairs
All warranty repairs must be completed by Get Dirty Pet Gear. Products must be returned to us for repair. Any attempt by the customer or a third party to repair, alter, or modify the product will void the warranty.
Warranty repairs and replacements are completed in the order they are received and are placed into our regular production queue. They will not be expedited ahead of customer orders.
Non-Warranty Repairs
Accidents happen! If your gear is damaged and the issue is not covered under our warranty, feel free to contact us. If the item is repairable, we will be happy to provide a quote for the repair.
